Originally from Baltimore, MD, Kristin discovered very early on that she wanted to be an artist. She often visited the Smithsonian with her parents and loved making paper dolls, homemade cards and board games. She went on to study at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY where she graduated with highest honors, earning a BFA in Illustration and minor in Fashion Design, and received the award for Excellence in Illustration.
Kristin specializes in illustrating for children in both traditional and digital medias. Early in her career she co-founded Atomic Paintbrush, a digital color house that catered to the comic book industry, and later ventured into animated property development, stationery design, textile design, editorial, advertising, and fashion illustration. Her work has appeared in children's books, dozens of comic books, magazines, stationery, party products, off-Broadway posters, websites, clothing hang tags, and her mom's birthday cards. Kristin resides in New York with her daughter and their dog.
