Maria Elina was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on July 7, 1975. Her studies have always been rooted in the visual arts. She earned a degree in Image and Sound Design from the University of Buenos Aires and further expanded her education through a variety of projects and workshops in photography, fine arts, set design, and illustration. For four years, she was part of the set design team at Teatro General San Martín before deciding to devote herself fully to her own artistic practice. Today, she works from her studio, where she spends her days drawing and creating a range of illustrated objects. She also collaborates with newspapers, magazines, and other publications in Argentina and abroad. Since 2010, she has been represented by Galería Mar Dulce, where her work can be found.
