Ivanke & Lola are husband and wife team artists from Buenos Aires. Growing up, they were always drawn to creating pictures. They grew up surrounded with colored pencils and crayons, but Ivanke eventually moved towards graphic design while Lola craved a life in the fine arts. Ivanke worked as a designer before becoming a full time illustrator. Lola started teaching art to children as her passion grew strongly for painting and sculpture. Their paths crossed a few years ago when Ivanke attended Lola’s birthday party as a guest of a mutual friend (it was truly a love at first sight!). Nowadays, they not only share their life together but also decided to combine their talents to dedicate a career in children's illustration. Their work can be seen in books, magazines, and children's products in Argentina, Latin America, USA, and Europe. If not illustrating, Lola & Ivanke enjoy watching animal documentaries, eating ice cream, cooking dinners for friends, and practicing yoga daily. At right are Ivanke & Lola's most recent projects, Trucks by Stephen Krensky (Aladdin) and Easy to Be Green by Ellie O'Ryan (Simon Scribbles).
