Randy's use of clear, vibrant color and his knack for making factual things fun for kids have resulted in numerous books that show things in a fun and friendly way, whether they be rocket ships, garbage trucks, dinosaurs, airplanes or hammers and nails. A native Californian, educated at Long Beach State College, he now lives in Agoura with his wife Anne, an elementary school teacher. At right is a cover from his popular book, Where Does the Garbage Go? by Paul Showers (Harper Collins) and a phonics boxed set Talk-To-Me, Fun All Year (Scholastic).
