Over the last 28 years Bob Dacey's work has been published internationally by a wide variety of clients, including magazines, communication networks, major corporations and the White House. His illustrations have received both Gold and Silver Medals and over three dozen Certificates of Merits from the Society of Illustrators and is featured in Walter and Roger Reed's book, The Illustrator in America, 1860 to 2000. Debra Bandelin's professional and academic background is in visual communication. She has received awards from the American Institute of Graphic Art, How Magazine, International Typeface Association & the NY Society of Illustrators. Married in 1994, Bob Dacey and Debra Bandelin joined studios in 1998 and soon after began collaborating on their first children's picturebook, Miriam's Cup, winning a Silver Medal from the NY Society of Illustrators, CBC/NCSS Notable Children's Trade Book and one of Booklist's Top Ten Religious Books. Shown at right is their recent children's book, Lucille Lost: A True Adventure by Margaret George and Christopher J. Murphy (Viking). The couple are also published by Simon & Schuster, Abigail Adams: First Lady of the American Revolution by Patricia Lakin and Davey Crockett: A Life on the Frontier by Stephen Krensky.
