Sue was born in Turin in 1965. Sue remembers drawing since she was little as both her parents were artists. She started working with her father Francesco Teodoro, a graphic designer as early as 1980. Following her mother’s footsteps, she decided to specialize in children’s illustrations mainly concentrating in the educational market. From 1998 to 2018 she was a member of Anikibobo, a graphic designcompany which works with the most important Italian publishing houses for educational books, with magazines and advertising companies. Meanwhile she continued developing her own illustration career like working with “Il Diario”. Furthermore, she took part in group exhibitions and some international graphic competitions. She also followed workshops with world famous illustrators, held lessons in design in primary and secondary schools, and studied textile design at the IED in Turin.

Today she works in her studio using both traditional painting techniques (watercolors being her favorite) and digital coloring techniques, paying particular attention to “palette colors.” She read a lot as a child and is always fascinated by the world of illustrations. Sue is inspired by nature and how living things interact with their environment. Sue is forever grateful for having illustrated books growing up and becoming an illustrator.

Below are some of her recent projects, Storie Piccine by Valeria Fiorentino (Giunti Junior), Che fine ha fatto gatta Marta? by Anna Vivarelli (Notes edizioni), Esercizi canini by Gianni Magnino (Notes Edizioni), Quando i polli avevano i denti by Guido Gozzano (Notes Edizioni), I tredici anni di Max by Armida Fogli (Piccoli), Quando il mare era nel cielo by Guido Gozzano (EGA-Edizioni Gruppo Abele).
